Module 14 – What Kind Of Products Or Services Should You Joint Venture?

One of the questions that probably first comes to your mind is…

“What kind of products should I joint venture?”

When I talk about products, I mean either a product or a service.

The simple answer is to choose something you have a strong passion for or love doing. By dealing with a product you really have an interest in, you’ll be considered an expert in that field because you know so much about it already. Web sites that you contact who have the same interests as you do, will know that you’re knowledgeable and passionate about the product.

But regardless of what kind of products you choose, the most important factor is that the product…

Be Of Great Value And Benefit To The Customer

Web Sites To Concentrate On
Basically you want to find…

  • Smaller businesses with limited traffic that have a good product and a good Web site with a great offer, and…
  • Medium to large businesses with good traffic to introduce to their customers these non-competing products from the smaller businesses

Now, this product could be…

[green_tick_2_list width=”100%”]

  • Your own product
  • A friends product or a product of a business that you personally know
  • A product of an individual or business that you found while searching the Internet

[/green_tick_2_list]

However, if you are lost about what to get started in or just not sure about your niche just pick a product that interests you.

For example, you might be working in a sporting goods store and have a lot of experience with sporting goods. You know what’s in, what’s new and what people want and desire.

Or you might be retired and have gardening as a hobby. You obviously would be knowledgeable in garden supplies and products, so you might want to pick a garden tool or an information product for gardeners as your first joint venture product.

It really doesn’t matter if you’re selecting a product or service as your first joint venture deal. Just as long as you get your first deal “under your belt” so to speak.

Of course it has to be something that people want and that there’s a market for. I would recommend that you stay away from multi-level-marketing (MLM) programs or any other type of business where there’s not enough profit to make it doable. MLM companies will also restrict you in what you can or cannot say or do.

There are literally thousands upon thousands of different products, services and Web sites to make this work easily. So don’t pick products where you have an up-hill battle to fight.

Listen, before we continue, I need to tell you something very important. Please listen up carefully.

It’s important that you…

Don’t Waste Your Precious Time And Money On Things
That Will Never Make You A Substantial Amount Of Money!

If you have your own product, by all means try that first.

The product you choose to joint venture is very important because a good product can…

Make You A Lot Of Money
In A Relative Short Period Of Time!

Like we discussed before, you should if at all possible…

Pick A Product Or Service That You Have
Some Experience With, Strong Passion For, Or Just Love

The Ideal Product
Now I will give specific guidelines for you to follow to find a truly spectacular product, no matter what you’re interested in!

Before we actually get started, let me first talk a little about what makes a product unique and one-of-a-kind.

Let me give you a rundown of what you should look for in a prefect Internet product.

Niche Market
The product should appeal to a niche market. Remember you’re not trying to sell everyone on the Internet. You can’t sell to everyone, you must narrow it down to your niche market.

Benefit
The product should be a useful beneficial product. It must solve a particular problem for the user. You must be able to answer your customer’s most important question…

“What’s In It For Me?”

In other words…

[green_tick_2_list width=”100%”]

  • How will it save me money?
  • How will it make me lose weight?
  • How will it make me more money?
  • What will the product solve for me?
  • If I don’t buy the product what will I lose or miss out on?
  • What will I save by using the product?

[/green_tick_2_list]

These are important questions that need to be answered.

Proprietary Interest
This is where you have an interest in a product. What I mean is, every time a product is sold that you have a proprietary interest in, you get a piece of the action.

Exclusive Right
This is where a product has been protected with a patent, copyright or an exclusive marketing agreement of some kind.

You should always try to get involved in products that you either have a proprietary interest in or an exclusive right to sell.

Enough Markup
There has to be enough of a markup on the product for everybody involved to get some profit out of it.

Superior Quality Or Service
It’s important for people to buy quality goods. They want things to hold up over a long period of time. And they don’t mind spending a little extra if the quality is superior. Also they don’t mind paying for extra good service.

So, there you have it. Those are the guidelines for an ideal Internet joint venture product.

Product Or Service?
When you’re first starting out, I’d recommend that you start doing joint ventures with Web sites that sell products rather than services.

Of course, if you have special knowledge or expertise in a service related business, by all means go after that. But if not, the reason I recommend products is because these deals are easier to land and to get going.

Whereas service oriented Web sites could take a lot longer to get going and the profits could also just trickle in slowly over many month.

Either way, you should always…

[green_tick_2_list width=”100%”]

  • Go for the easiest deal, and
  • The deal that will yield the greatest possible profit

All right, I don’t mean to ramble on and on, I’m sure you get the idea!

Next I’ll show you some products that are successfully sold on-line and that I think you should seriously consider!
