Today there are over 30,000 on-line newsletters or electronic magazines (often called “e-zines” for short) and the numbers grow daily. They cover virtually any topic you can think of, ranging from fishing to stamp collecting.
The words “e-zines” and “newsletter” are used interchangeably. The word e-zine simply means electronic magazine. Pretty smart, hu? What will they think of next?
Actually it’s kind of misnamed because when you picture a magazine, you think of lots of pages with articles, pictures in color and ads.

Most of the e-zines are free publications. Which means that the editors are not sending out e-zines to paid subscribers, but to “opt-in” names.
Consequently, because these are not true customers, but only opt-in recipients who receive a free newsletter or e-zine, you can expect the response to any offer or endorsement to these “free” subscribers to be quite a bit less than it would be from actual true customers. But this could still…

Also, these editors can normally make a lot more money in commissions on sales of products that they recommend to their readers than they can by trying to sell advertising space in their e-zines. So therefore they are very responsive if there’s a good match between your product and their reader’s interests.
Targeted Market
As you would suspect, there are e-zines on every subject imaginable and many of them target a very specific audience. Some e-zines don’t accept any advertising at all, while others contain mostly ads.
E-zines do offer an excellent way of doing joint ventures because they reach a very targeted market. They are powerful ways to attract qualified prospects for your chosen joint venture product.
