For many years I’ve sold my own information products by direct mail using the US Postal Service as my sales force.
I actually mailed out close to a 1,500,000 sales letters over a period of about four and a half years. Every one of those letters was personalized and sent out by 1st class US Mail, with my own money.
But, I was soon to discover that I didn’t have to do all the work I was doing to make a good living. Even though I was successful and I obviously made money, there was a lot of work involved and I had a lot of money at risk. But…
You Won’t Believe What I Was About To Discover…
It all started the day before Christmas a few years back.
I received a letter from a lady named Nina at The Highlander Club in Baltimore, Maryland. The Highlander Club is actually part of Agora Publishing.
In that letter, they wanted to do an “Endorsement Program” with me – which is just another term for a “Joint Venture” – whereby they would introduce my information product at that time, “How to Make a Fortune Using Other People’s Money”, to their 78,000 members.
Shortly after I’d received the letter from Nina and talked to her on the phone, Nina, and her associates, Sandy and Addison actually flew out to Seattle to meet with me.
Remember this was a few years back. Since then I have done lots of joint ventures on the Internet.
Anyway, Nina, Sandy, Addison, my wife Victoria and I had dinner at the Space Needle here in Seattle, where we discussed our joint venture plans.
There were no attorneys involved, and neither any complicated contract to sign, with all the legal mumble-jumble. Instead the meeting was very relaxed and the food was of course exquisite. And, once I realized it wouldn’t cost me anything to participate in this joint venture, I jumped at the offer…

Also, because this joint venture was not done over the Internet or with e-mail, but with postal mail it took a lot longer to arrange. The sales copy had to be written, sales letters had to be printed and the letter shop had to do the inserting, sorting and the mailing piece had to be dropped in the mail.
But finally, in the beginning of June the next year, they sent out the endorsement letter to their members introducing my product.
A few weeks after that, I got a check in the mail from Agora Publishing for $6,263.88 for my part of the profits from our joint venture. Then a couple of weeks later… I got another check for $2,121.22, and a few weeks after that… another check for $804.80, and right after that, yet another check for $6,066.59. So before it was all over, I had received a total of…
$15,256.49!
So, as you can see, the profits on endorsement deals can continue for months or even years.
But remember, I want you to realize that I didn’t have any financial risk or any of my own money invested in this joint venture. It simply cost me…
$0… Zippo… Zilch… Nothing!
Also, remember, this was $15,256.49 net in my pocket, not gross. The actual “gross” or “take in” amount for the mailing was over $45,000.00. The company took all the risk, so they simply subtracted their costs and then we split the net profit 50/50.
And let me tell you… nothing feels quite like getting that first joint venture check into your hot little hands! It’s quite exciting! And hopefully you’ll get the same feeling and excitement when it happens to you.
Now, let me tell you something… before this, I didn’t even know what an “Endorsement Program” or a “Joint Venture” was, nor did I have any idea of just how profitable joint ventures were.
Although my first JV made me $15,256, I’ve done quite a few joint ventures since then online and they have all been very profitable! Some even into the 6-figures!
